But he suffered many setbacks and defamation law suits after his Sandy Hooks Elementary School Shooting  podcast which called the whole episode a hoax. Victims of Sandy Hooks elementary shooting 2012 who lost their loved ones filled defamation suits against him and there is a wooping $45 million which he has to pay as per damages. There are two other cases pending where damages are to be decided.
Now the victims have filed motion in federal bankruptcy court alleging laundering and illegal transfer of funds between entities controlled by Alex Jones to save him from paying.Free Speech Systems (FSS), the parent company of info wars transferred money to PQPR Holdings Limited, which is “owned and operated” by Jones as per the filings.
Alex Jones openly talks about dragging the lawsuits for several years and his company has applied for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection petition so that he or his company can shield themselves from payments.
Victims have asked the court to allow a backruptcy trustee to take control of his and his company's finances.
